In the heart of Madison the 169-year-old Dane County Fair is a “Taking Tradition to New Heights.” The Dane County Fair starts July 18 with Hometown Hero Day. Military personnel, police officers, firefighters and first-responders receive free admission for themselves and one guest each. July 19 is Kids Day; join ESPN-Madison, youth organizations and businesses for youth-focused activities all day. Farm Fresh Day is July 20; meet the Fabulous Farm Babe as she leads the tractor parade, or participate in the Kiddie Tractor Pull or the Dane County Farm Bureau Scavenger Hunt. July 21 is Family Fiesta Day. Music and fun contests begin at noon on the Main Stage while K9 groups show their skills in the Exhibition Hall.
