Free and confidential services are available to farm families in need of advice about farm finances, succession planning, entry or exit strategies, and other critical issues. Services are provided by the Wisconsin Farm Center housed at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

As the downturn in agriculture sectors lengthens, Farm Center Helpline staff members have observed an increase in stress levels among farmers concerned about finances. Farm Center staff regularly gauge a caller’s need for counseling vouchers, which are provided at no cost.
