A “Gen Z Speaks Ag” photograph contest is open for youth ages 11-23. The contest is part of the “AgDay365: Ag Day is Every Day” campaign. The 2019 theme is “Love Food, Don’t Waste it.” Food waste in the United States is estimated to be between 30 percent and 40 percent of the food supply.
Submission deadline is Sept. 30. Photographs must depict agriculture in an authentic and positive light as well as incorporate the theme. Three prizes will be awarded.

- second prize – $250
- third prize – $100
Winning photographs will be posted on American Agri-Women’s Facebook page for a people’s-choice selection. The people’s-choice winner will receive a Bluetooth portable speaker. Winners will be announced at the American Agri-Women annual convention, which will be held Nov. 6-10 at the Embassy Suites, 9000 S.W. Washington Square Road in Tigard, Oregon. American Agri-Women and Bayer Crop Science are sponsoring the contest.
