Zoetis and Colorado State University recently signed an agreement to establish a research laboratory that will explore the livestock immune system and target new immunotherapies. The Zoetis Incubator Research Lab will open in early 2020 at Colorado State University’s Research Innovation Center near Fort Collins, Colorado.

While the laboratory will reside within the university’s research center, it will be part of the Zoetis global research-and-development organization. The initial focus will be biotherapeutics for cattle, which could yield broader implications for pigs and poultry, according to the company. The company expects to hire as many as 20 livestock-research scientists, immunologists and cell biologists.

Colorado State University’s Research Innovation Center is home to several startup companies with roots at the university. Visit www.research.colostate.edu/idrc for more information.
