We would love to see more people take advantage of all the programs and meals they Chatt Center offers. Many of you play euchre, come play with us on Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. Just give us a call if you would like to join in. If you would like to come in for the meal before cards, please do. Just let us know by 9:30 a.m., that morning for the meal any time before 12 noon to play cards.
What else is there to do when it’s raining outside.
Just a reminder, garage sale on the Friday and Saturday, Oct. 11 & 12. If anyone would like to donate items to us it would be very much appreciated. We do not except any large furniture. You may buy a table also if you would like to bring in your own items to sell. $10 a table for the two days. If you have any questions please call Debbie at 402-374-2570.
Ha Ha Time
A sweet grandmother telephoned St. Joseph’s Hospital. She timidly asked, “Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?” The operator said, “I’ll be glad to help, dear. What’s the name and room number?” The grandmother in her weak, tremulous voice said, “Norma Findlay in Room 302.” The operator replied, “Let me place you on hold while I check with her nurse.” After a few minutes, the operator returned to the phone and said, “Oh, I have good news. Her nurse just told me that Norma is doing very well. Her blood pressure is fine, her blood work just came back as normal, and her physician, Dr. Cohen, has scheduled for her to be discharged of Tuesday.”
The grandmother said, Thank you. That’s wonderful! I was so worried. God bless you for the good news.” The operator replied, “You’re more than welcome. Is Norma your daughter?” The grandmother said, “No, I’m Norma Findlay in 302. No one tells me anything!”
Take care & stay safe!
