Tekamah-Herman Elementary students will perform “Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook,” Friday, April 12, in the high school auditorium. The public is invited to the 7 p.m. show. No admission is charged but free will contributions are encouraged.

Written by Allison Gregory, the play is based on books by Barbara Park.

Students have been practicing twice a week in preparation for the show. The title character, Junie B. Jones, will be portrayed by six different girls as the part has over 500 lines, too many for one student, production organizers say.

The character is a precocious kindergartner who has a very fun personality. She definitely keeps the other students and school personnel on their toes.
