The Christmas decorations are stored away. Linda Bisanz has deep-cleaned the buildings, and we are catching up on projects on our desks and getting organized for the new year. Jane has the main house parlor and dining room decorated with our collection of old valentines. Also displayed in the parlor is George Washington and Abe Lincoln information to review with the students who will visit us in February.

A special event is planned for Saturday, March 14 for Burt County third-graders only. “Time For Tea With My Friends and Me!” will be held in the Houston House dining room from 11 a.m. to 12:30. Burt County third-graders will be receiving a special invitation and parents must make a reservation. Jane is excited to plan the fun and games which will also include conversation starters, food and flavored drinks. There will be discussion about being kind and polite and making friends. There is a limit. If there is enough interest, we will have another tea Saturday, Mar. 21. Kids! Dress for a special occasion!
