More than four decades of service to the citizens of Tekamah will be honored at a reception Feb. 19.
The public is invited to a retirement reception honoring Terry Schroeder on his 42 years in the city’s employ. The event will be held Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2-4 p.m., at Tekamah City Auditorium.
Schoeder has served for many years as head of the Water Department. Before that however, he worked in several capacities, including on the street crew and as a police officer.
Feb. 19 is his last day on the job. Although formally retired, he will maintain his post as the city’s emergency manager.
