TeamMates of Tekamah-Herman has been working to spread the word that we will soon be starting our very own chapter of TeamMates here at Tekamah-Herman Schools. Whether you are interested in becoming a mentor yourself, interested in having your child matched with a mentor, or just interested in what TeamMates is all about, please join us for an informational meeting on Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. in the high school library.

To provide a quick overview, TeamMates is a school-based program—meaning that mentors and mentees meet at the school during school hours and during the school year. Meeting at the school provides a safe, neutral environment with games, activities and resources to support the match.

TeamMates believes all youth can benefit from a mentoring relationship. Whether it is a formal relationship such as TeamMates or an informal relationship such as a neighbor or relative, the TeamMates organization believes everyone needs a positive role model to provide guidance and wisdom.

We are excited to be a part of this amazing program. If you are interested, but unable to attend the meeting Sept. 9; please contact us by telephone at 402-374-2157 or our email listed below.

Sincerely,

Molly Miller, mollymiller@esu2.org

Jodi Hansen, jhansen@esu2.org
