Three Dairy Council dietitians elected to IAND leadership roles

MERIDIAN, Idaho - The Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics has elected Idaho Dairy Council vice president of health and wellness Crystal Wilson, RD, as president elect of its board of directors. She will serve a three-year term as president elect, president and past president.Wilson oversees nutrition and education programming at the Idaho Dairy Council. She is responsible for the strategic planning, development and execution of programs for health professionals and educators throughout the state. A licensed dietitian, registered dietitian nutritionist and certified health coach, Wilson has worked in the field of child nutrition for nearly two decades. She earned a master's degree in adult education and an Ed.S. in adult and organizational learning and leadership and maintains her occupational specialist teaching certificate.Two co-workers have joined Wilson among IAND's leadership. Jaclyn St. John, RD, was elected to the board of directors and serves as secretary and membership chair. The national academy is celebrating its 100th anniversary next year, and Chelsea Schoenfelder, RD, was appointed Idaho liaison to the Second Century Committee to keep the state board apprised of plans to transform the profession. Both are registered dietitians and health and wellness managers at the Idaho Dairy Council, and both earned master's degrees, with St. John's in human sciences and Schoenfelder's in public health.
