Well, finally some weather that is letting us get some crops out of the fields. It’s also been a good drying week — some wind and sun with a little heat has helped a lot. The ground conditions are getting better with every day we don’t have rain. The Mississippi River is still high, causing grain transportation issues. The early-planted crops are still being harvested and yields are fair to good for the growing conditions. The later-planted crops have yet to be harvested, but we have had a couple frosts now, so it won’t be long until we are able to get into them.
