This was another dry week — no rain at all. The frost we had last week has killed most of the beans around here. We have cut some double-crop beans, but most of them need a few more dry days to be really ready to go. Our double-crop yields are not that good this year. Most of the corn around here is out of the field or close to being out now. A lot of the beans are also in the bins around here. With that being the case, farmers are getting lime spread and fall fertilizer taken care of while the weather is good. While waiting for the crops to dry down, farmers are also working on waterways, etc., in the harvested fields.
