5 lbs. elbow macaroni

5 lbs. ground beef

Garlic to taste

1 large onion, chopped

Pinch of brown sugar

Salt and pepper

Bay leaves (two in each pan)

2, 10-oz. cans diced tomatoes

2, 10-oz. cans tomato sauce

Brown ground beef and onion; add garlic and seasonings. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and sugar.

Bring to a boil, cover and cook for 15 minutes. Add cooked macaroni and pasta water. Discard bay leaves and serve immediately. Makes 2 roasting pans.
