3 squares unsweetened chocolate
2⁄3 C. butter
2 C. sugar
¼ C. Kahlua or white syrup
1½ C. flour
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
Melt chocolate and butter and allow to cool. Beat eggs with sugar until light. Blend in chocolate and butter. Add Kahlua or syrup.
Add dry ingredients. Stir in vanilla. May add nuts if desired.
Pour into greased 8x8-inch pan and bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
