1 C. sugar

1 C. brown sugar

1 C. shortening

2 eggs

1 can crushed pineapple (drained)

1 tsp. vanilla

4 C. flour

1 tsp. soda

Pinch of salt

1/2 C. nuts

Combine ingredients. Bake at 350° for about 10 minutes until golden brown.

For frosting:

3-4 C. powdered sugar

1/2 C. pineapple juice

Add pineapple juice to powdered sugar until it reaches spreading consistency.
