U.S. corn continued to do good business with South Korea and Mexico. “Countries like South Korea and Mexico remain active in buying U.S. corn,” Steve Freed, VP of Grain Research for ADM Investor Services, said. “U.S. cold weather is slowing cash movement, which is helping the domestic banks.”

“Weekly U.S. ethanol production was up from last week and last year,” Freed said. “Stocks were down from last week but are still above last year. Margins remain negative. Ethanol futures have bounced off the January lows. There is some hope that a new China trade deal could include China buying U.S. ethanol.”
