Continued positive ideas continue to come out from both sides of the U.S./China trade negotiations, which helped firm up the July contract today, ADM Investor Services said. Treasury Secretary Mnuchin said that there could be more in person talks in the near future.

There was “chatter” today that China may be looking to purchase 2.5 mmt of U.S. beans this week, Ami L. Heesch of CHS Hedging said. She noted that progress on the trade issue is being made “although it is said that there is more work to be done before an agreement can be made.”
