Cattle producers hold Omaha rally calling USDA Secretary to action

Cattle producers held a rally in Omaha, Nebraska, Oct. 2, to show a united front against what they describe as unfair market practices.

The Organization for Competitive Marketing hosted a rally to “Stop the Stealin’” Oct.2, at the Ramada Inn located on the corner of 72nd and Grover Street in Omaha, Nebraska.

The theme of the rally was to call on USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue to take action and ensure fair prices for cattle producers; or, if he failed to do so, for President Trump to fire him.

On hand were representatives of OCM, Ranchers-Cattlemen Action Legal Fund United Stockgrowers of America and Family Farm Action. The event was sponsored by those organizations as well as Farm Aid, National Family Farm Coalition, American Grassfed Association and many others.
