Oct. 4, 2021: Harvest switches to soybeans

Harvest continued last week with most farmers switching over to soybeans as they dried rapidly. Later maturities and later planted beans are not quite ready, but all others were dry enough. Corn harvest was put on hold. Basis conditions in St. Louis also weakened rapidly for the nearest crop due to low water conditions and barge freight issues.
