MADISON, Wis. – The 2017 Wisconsin Area Soybean Conferences will be held in January in three Wisconsin locations. The agenda is the same for all three meetings, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Meetings will be held:

  • Jan 18 – the Holiday Inn, 625 W. Rolling Meadows Drive, Fond du Lac;
  • Jan. 19 – the Holiday Inn and Conference Center, 3100 Wellington Place, Janesville, and
  • Jan. 20 – the Holiday Inn South, 4751 Owen Ayres Court, Eau Claire.

Topics are new soybean herbicide traits; managing white mold using weather information and fungicides; grower data and the soybean-yield gap; what’s new in seed, chemicals and inoculants; Wisconsin Soybean Association update; and plant diseases and marketing hints for 2017. Growers who bring field records for 2016 with them to the meeting and fill out a yield-gap survey will receive a $10 gift card from Culver’s.

The meeting cost, which includes lunch, is $20 per person for Wisconsin Soybean Association members and $40 for non-members. A three-year membership in the association is $150 and includes five bags of soybean seed, donated by multiple companies.
