Beef & Cabbage Soup

Ingredients

 1 pound ground beef

 1/2 medium cabbage, chopped

 1/2 tsp garlic salt

 1/4 tsp garlic powder

 1/4 tsp pepper

 1 can kidney beans, undrained

 Chopped onion, to taste

 1 - 28 oz can tomatoes, chopped

 1/2 to 1 can water (use tomato can to measure)

 4 beef bouillon cubes

 2 celery stalks, chopped bite size (optional)

 4 carrots, sliced


Directions

 In a large pot, brown beef and drain. Add all remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered for 1 hour.

 Optional: Top with fresh chopped parsley, (I use dried) and some shredded cheddar cheese. Makes fairly large pot of good soup!
