This flock of geese provided Christine Kubal Sip of Geddes, South Dakota, with meat and eggs while leaving her some to market. She also made a tick (mattress) from the feathers of her goose flock. This photo from 1940 comes from the collection of the South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum.
