This card, postmarked Astoria, S.D., Aug. 26, 1919, has a message written in pencil on the back: “They start threshing Saturday at Merises and will be here Monday and Tuesday if all goes well. Papa wished me to write you so you could know in time. Sincerely, Ira.”
