Last week was a very productive week for growers. Sunshine and temperatures allowed field conditions to improve, and a lot of ground was being either prepped or planted. Corn, cotton, soybeans, peanuts, melons and rice are all being planted at this time. Fertilizer and chemical burndown are actively being applied throughout the region. It’s a late planting season, but we’re all making the best of it.
